About 

Matthew 25 was formed by a group of individuals and churches in the Charleston area who were looking for a way to better assist the homeless. Matthew 25 leases one bedroom apartments and allows guests to stay in these apartments for up to six months while they work toward the goal of becoming self-sufficient. Every apartment is supplied with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, full size bed, and kitchenware. Rooms are also stocked with hygiene items, laundry soap, towels, and other complimentary amenities for our guests. On July 1, 2022, Matthew 25 began welcoming its first guests. ​

Guests are partnered with a partner family upon arrival to their room. Partner families help the guests as they work through the necessary steps to regain stability in their lives. Matthew 25 is working towards adding additional apartments as resources become available.
